Connection to North Texas is Complete
September 18, 2026
Dear RCH Members,
I am extremely pleased to share news that we have worked toward for almost three years:
RCH Water Supply Corporation is now directly connected to the North Texas Municipal Water District.
This is a major milestone for RCH and the result of more than three years of planning, negotiations, engineering, construction, testing, and problem-solving.
During that time, RCH faced rapid growth, limited water availability, conservation measures, operational changes, regulatory and contractual challenges, political headwinds, and the need to secure a reliable long-term water source for our members.
Through it all, our goal remained the same: to secure a dependable water supply that could meet both our current needs and future demand.
Today, we have achieved that goal.
I am also pleased to announce that RCH’s Stage 3 water restrictions are officially ended, effective immediately.
All samples passed at the beginning of this week and that allowed us to finally open the new pump station and transmission line to the entire RCH system and we have been testing all the components for the past week.
We will immediately fall back into Stage 2 schedule days but also have extended the lawn irrigation times from the current 8pm-midnight to now being 8pm until 4am. This is so we can adjust the system parameters under a controlled demand and expectations are it will be for a short period. Please keep to your 2 zone days scheduled for your lawn watering to allow this to be completed in a few days. As a reminder, all other water usage is still allowed at any time.
While Stage 3 is over, I encourage everyone to continue using water wisely and conserving whenever possible. Responsible water use remains important, and members should continue following applicable seasonal watering guidelines.
This accomplishment belongs to many people, including our Board, employees, engineers, contractors, consultants, and project partners. Most of all, I want to thank you, our members, for your patience, cooperation, and support throughout this process.
Three years ago, RCH faced serious questions about how we would meet the water needs of a growing community.
Today, we have the water, we have the connection, and we have the infrastructure in place to support our future.
Kind regards,
Robin Mayall
