Construction Update – March 2026
March 23, 2026
Dear RCH Members,
I’m pleased to share the latest construction update on the North Texas Take Point & Pump Station Project. Work continues to move forward across multiple areas of the site, and the next four weeks will be especially active as crews focus on pipeline work, structural progress, electrical installation, and building improvements.
Pump Station & Site Piping
Work at the pump station will center on layout and installation of pump room piping, rough grading around the pump building, and excavation, installation, and burial of the 24-inch line from the ground storage tank to the suction header. These are important steps in connecting the major system components and preparing the site for final mechanical work.
Ground Storage Tank & Meter Vault
At the meter vault and ground storage tank, crews will continue underground piping from the NTMWD connection to the meter vault, install man vaults, and place the 24-inch line from the meter vault to the ground storage tank. The tank itself is entering a key finishing phase, with work scheduled for prestress and shotcrete wire cover, stripping shoring and decking, body coat, flash coat, painting, installation of accessories, and final walkthrough and demobilization.
Electrical & Controls
Electrical installation will continue to move forward in the coming weeks. Work will focus on the layout and installation of interior conduit within both the meter vault and pump station, as well as the excavation and placement of the ductbank connecting the meter vault to the ground storage tank. Crews are also scheduled to set the pump station electrical gear. In a significant milestone, the generator was successfully positioned last week ahead of schedule, maintaining strong project momentum as the site progresses toward final startup and integration.
Building Progress
The pump station building will also see major visible progress. Spray foam insulation is scheduled, along with framing out the control room, installing personnel doors and windows, placing seven roof hatches, completing spray foam touch-up around the hatches, and installing the 12-foot by 12-foot overhead door. Together, these improvements will move the building closer to a fully enclosed and functional condition.
Upcoming Deliveries
Several important materials are also scheduled to arrive during this period, including interior fabricated pipe for the pump station, roof hatches, and the overhead door package. These deliveries will support ongoing field work and help keep the project moving on schedule.
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we move through these final major phases of construction. We appreciate your trust in RCH and will continue to keep you informed as key milestones are reached.
Sincerely,
Robin Mayall
