Notice of Rate Increase
The RCH Water Supply Corporation (“RCH”) Board of Directors held a public meeting on January 7, 2025 and voted to increase the monthly rates for water service for all members and set a surcharge related to the conflict with the City of McLendon-Chisholm. The rate increase is based on the recommendation of a rate study conducted by NewGen Strategies & Solutions (“NewGen”), a highly respected rate consulting firm. Based on NewGen’s analysis, RCH’s current rates are insufficient to meet the financial demands of the growing utility and services operations. Starting in 2025, projected revenues under the existing rate structure will fall short of what is required to meet operational expenses, debt service, and reserve needs. NewGen has advised the Board that in order to meet these obligations, adjustments to our rates are necessary to ensure continued reliable service, deliver new water supply, and confirm sufficient reserves for future infrastructure needs. The new rates will take effect on February 15, 2025 and will appear in the March billing. The rate changes are as follows:
Surcharge: McClendon-Chisholm Conflict: $5.14 (per month).
