Take Point Pump Station Project Update

Dear RCH Members,

I am pleased to provide an update on the progress of our RCH Take Point and Pump Station project. We have made significant progress on several critical tasks as we advance through the project timeline. I would like to highlight the achievements on our project schedule, which demonstrate our team's hard work and dedication.

  1. Completion of the CMAR Procurement Schedule: This crucial initial phase has been successfully completed. The Request for Proposal (RFP) was issued on March 19, 2024, and all proposals were submitted by April 18, 2024. Following a thorough review and evaluation, interviews were conducted on April 26, 2024. The selection notification was issued on May 1, 2024, and board approval was secured by May 7, 2024. The notification to the winning proposer was finalized by May 14, 2024. This foundational step has set a solid course for the remainder of the project.
  2. Successful Partnering Session and Kick-Off Meeting: On May 22, 2024, we held a productive partnering session and kick-off meeting. This meeting was pivotal in ensuring alignment and collaboration among all project stakeholders, paving the way for smooth and efficient execution in the phases ahead.
  3. Completion of Entrance, Potholing, and Grounding: The first Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) package, which included vital groundwork activities, was completed on August 20, 2024. This marks a significant milestone in preparing our site for further construction efforts.
  4. Current Design Status and Cost Modeling: From May 23, 2024, to June 21, 2024, the initial design status, including the development of the Opinion of Probable Construction Costs (OPCC) and cost model, was meticulously developed and reviewed. This phase, completed on June 28, 2024, ensures our design is comprehensive and within budgetary constraints.
  5. Tank, Plan & SpecDevelopment: The planning and specification development for the 3-million-gallon tank was successfully carried out from July 1, 2024, to July 17, 2024. We are currently in the bidding phase for this early construction package, positioning us well to commence the following stages on schedule.
  6. Completion of Equipment Selection: The selection process for construction equipment was finalized between July 1, 2024, and August 23, 2024. This step was critical to ensuring that all selected materials and equipment meet the highest standards for quality and suitability for our project needs.

These accomplishments are significant steps forward and reflect our commitment to maintaining the project schedule. I sincerely thank the RCH team and our partners for their dedication and hard work in achieving these milestones. Their efforts are vital to our continued success, and I am confident we will continue to make great strides toward completing this project.
