Update on Litigation and Progress Toward Resolution with the City of McLendon-Chisholm
June 03, 2025
Dear Members,
RCH Water Supply Corporation is pleased to share a positive update regarding our ongoing efforts to resolve the litigation with the City of McLendon-Chisholm. In alignment with the City Council’s June 3 agenda item, RCH has formally expressed support for requesting a joint delay in the current mediation process. This proposal reflects our mutual commitment to pursue resolution through productive discussions rather than costly legal proceedings.
On May 29, RCH sent a letter to Mayor Bryan McNeal proposing a joint request to the Court to extend the mediation deadline by 60 to 90 days. This extension would allow RCH and the City to further explore settlement options outside of formal mediation and avoid unnecessary expenses. RCH also recommended that the parties work together to notify the assigned mediator and request the cancellation of the mediation scheduled for June 17.
We are encouraged by the City’s willingness to consider this approach and remain hopeful that this cooperative spirit will continue. Our goal is to resolve this matter in a way that safeguards RCH’s infrastructure, protects our members' interests, and fosters a renewed and lasting partnership with the City.
Thank you for your continued support and trust.
Sincerely,
David Naylor
Board President, RCH Water Supply Corporation
