Construction Update – June 2025

Dear Members,

I’m pleased to share our June progress update on the RCH Take Point & Pump Station Project. With construction officially underway as of today, June 20, we continue to hit every milestone and remain firmly on schedule. Foundation submittals for the Ground Storage Tank have been approved. Although we are still awaiting the full design package from Preload (which remains on track for a September start), Felix Construction is actively evaluating alternatives to accelerate the schedule. All valves, pumps, and electrical components have been approved and released for manufacture, and the pumps will be securely stored off-site by the manufacturer until they’re needed on-site.

The civil yard package is also in motion: Mesa Contracting has executed its subcontract, worked through the remaining submittals, and is mobilizing on site to begin foundational and access work. CLW Water Group has been awarded the meter vault contract, with subcontract documentation to be issued by June 20; their team is preparing for bid solicitation and procurement in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the pump station drawings, both structural and electrical, were finalized and sealed by June 3, and the public advertisement for bids opened on June 17. We’ll host a pre-bid meeting on July 1, with formal bids due by July 17.

On the permitting front, we now have Kaufman County approvals for the tank, civil package, driveway entrance, and meter vault. V&W submitted the 6″ boring permit on May 13, and the pump station permit followed on June 4. We anticipate all outstanding permits being finalized shortly, ensuring uninterrupted progress. Coordination with Oncor is complete for both temporary and permanent power service agreements; temporary power construction is expected imminently, and permanent installations are slated for late summer.

Looking ahead, with foundational work well underway and materials arriving and securely stored, we are poised to enter full-steam construction.

Thank you for your continued trust and support as we bring this critical infrastructure online.

Sincerely,

Robin Mayall
