Water Use Advisory – Voluntary Conservation Urged to Avoid Stage 2 Restrictions
July 17, 2025
Dear Members,
Our community’s water usage has recently approached 2 million gallons per day—an important threshold that signals the potential need for Stage 2 water restrictions. While we are not there yet, we are closely monitoring the situation and hope to delay that transition as long as possible.
To help us do that, we ask all members to voluntarily conserve water. Please reduce outdoor watering, fix leaks promptly, and limit non-essential usage wherever possible. These small efforts can help keep us from moving into mandatory restrictions.
When Stage 2 becomes necessary, here’s what to expect:
Stage 2 Water Restrictions – At a Glance
- Lawn Irrigation: Permitted only on your designated zone watering day and only between 8:00 PM and midnight
- Irrigation Frequency: Lawn watering is limited to twice per week.
- Drip or Soaker Hoses(landscape beds or foundation): Allowed any day, at any time.
- Hand-Held Manual/Trigger Type Sprinklers: Allowed any day, at any time.
- Pools: Filling or refilling is allowed, but please notify us if you’re filling a new pool
- Vehicle Washing: Permitted, but use water responsibly.
- Hydrant Meters: Usage remains permitted for construction purposes.
We all share responsibility for managing our limited water resources. Thank you for doing your part by conserving now and helping us avoid more stringent measures in the future.
Sincerely,
Robin Mayall
