Explanation for Higher Than Normal Water Bills

Dear Members,

We understand that some of you have noticed higher than normal water bills this period. We want to clarify the reasons behind this and assure you that we are here to assist with any concerns.

Meter Exchange and Billing Period Adjustment

In May, we conducted a scheduled exchange of water meters. This transition impacted the billing cycle for many members. For some, this means that the current bill covers an extended period, which could add as much as 28 days to your billing cycle.

Previous Billing Period Adjustment

Please note that the previous bill was significantly lower than usual. This was because it only accounted for the time until your meter was swapped out. Therefore, the current bill includes this additional time, leading to a higher than expected bill.

Impact of Increased Water Usage

Additionally, the summer months typically lead to higher water usage for many households. Increased consumption, combined with the extended billing period, contributes to the appearance of unusually high water bills.

We understand this situation might be confusing, and we are committed to helping you understand your bill. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Sincerely,

Robin Mayall
