Ensuring the Accuracy of Our Water Meters

Dear RCH Members,

I hope this message finds you well. As your Board President, I want to directly address the concerns that some of you have raised regarding the accuracy of our new water meters.

After consulting with Robin Mayall and thoroughly reviewing the situation, the RCH Board has decided to undertake a project to ensure the accuracy of our meter readings. While our new meters have undergone strict quality control processes, we recognize the importance of verifying their performance in practice.

To achieve this, we have partnered with an independent third-party testing company to evaluate a random sample of meters across our network. The testing will begin this month and will help ensure that the new meters accurately measure water consumption. We will post the results once testing is completed.

It is important to note that the previous meters were several years past their end-of-life and had become unreliable. The new meters are providing accurate readings that may differ from those produced by the older, less accurate meters. However, out of an abundance of caution and our commitment to transparency, we are moving forward with this additional testing.

We value your feedback and appreciate your patience as we work to maintain the highest standards of service for our members. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further information.

Thank you for your continued trust and support.

Sincerely,

David Naylor
RCH Board President
