Installation of New Ultrasonic Sonata Water Meters in Sonoma Verde

Dear Sonoma Verde Residents,

We are pleased to announce the commencement of a significant upgrade to our water meter system, marking a pivotal advancement in our service and technology. Starting Monday, May 13th, Mid Cimarron will begin the installation of new ultrasonic Sonata water meters in Sonoma Verde. This initiative is the first phase of our comprehensive meter modernization project aimed at enhancing our service quality and efficiency.

Phase 1 Details:

  • Installation Schedule: Begins May 13th in Sonoma Verde.
  • Service Impact: Installation involves cleaning out the meter boxes, which will not affect your water service. However, the meter replacement process will require a brief interruption—approximately 10 to 15 minutes per household/location.

Additional Procedures:

  • Mid Cimarron technicians may record addresses and take photographs for documentation purposes during the installation process.

Benefits of the New Ultrasonic Meters:

  • Enhanced Accuracy: These state-of-the-art digital meters will facilitate accurate, real-time water use readings directly from a drive-by computer system.
  • Leak Detection: The new system includes capabilities for two-way monitoring, which will automatically alert both you and RCH to any potential leaks or issues in real time.
  • Consumption Management: You will be able to monitor your water usage and demand, helping you manage and potentially reduce your overall water consumption.

We understand that upgrading our infrastructure is key to providing you with reliable and efficient service. This modernization effort will not only improve our operational capabilities but also empower you, our valued customers, with better tools to manage your water usage.

Looking Ahead:

  • Phase 2: Following the completion of Phase 1, an additional 1,200 sites will undergo meter upgrades. We anticipate beginning this next phase shortly and will provide an estimated start date in the coming weeks.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we enhance our water meter system. Should you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

Warm regards,

Robin Mayall
