Recap From The Special Board Meeting on April 23, 2024

Dear RCH Members,

I am pleased to announce that an important resolution regarding the North Texas Municipal Water District Interconnection Project (the "Project") was unanimously adopted in Tuesday's special board meeting. This message informs you of the decision's essence and implications.

Summary of Resolution No. 24-08

The Board of Directors has approved and selected a reputable and experienced contractor to act as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the Project. This resolution follows a diligent and thorough Request for Proposals (RFP) process administered by Velvin & Weeks Consulting Engineers, Inc., which was initiated on March 18, 2024, with proposals collected up to April 18, 2024.

Upon reviewing the submitted proposals and in accordance with the selection criteria established, Velvin & Weeks recommended the chosen Contractor for their exemplary qualifications to deliver the Project effectively. In alignment with their expertise, the Board has entrusted the selection and expresses full confidence in their capabilities to fulfill the project's requirements.

Furthermore, the Board has granted Mr. Robin Mayall, our General Manager, the authority to negotiate and execute the necessary agreements with the Contractor. This decision empowers a swift and efficient commencement of the Project, ensuring that our system’s interconnectivity goals are achieved within the projected timelines.

The Resolution's Provisions Include:

  1. Affirmation of the facts presented in the resolution preamble.
  2. Official approval and selection of the Contractor as the CMAR.
  3. Immediate effectiveness of the resolution upon adoption.

The unanimous adoption of this resolution is a testament to our commitment to advancing the infrastructure and service reliability of RCH Water Supply Corporation. It marks a significant stride toward enhancing our water supply system's operational efficiency and future readiness.
