Cease and Desist Letter Issued to Inframark and McLendon Chisholm

 

Dear RCH Members,

We want to address a pressing matter that has come to our attention and may have affected many of you. It has been brought to our notice that misleading disconnection notices have been erroneously sent to some of our valued members by Inframark, LLC, acting on behalf of the City of McLendon-Chisholm.

These notices incorrectly state that water accounts are delinquent and threaten the disconnection of water services for non-payment. We want to clarify and assure you that RCH Water Supply Corporation is the sole provider of water services within the City limits and in several surrounding areas. Any communication suggesting otherwise is not only incorrect but also misleading.

To address this confusion and safeguard our community, we have issued a Cease and Desist letter to Inframark and the Mayor of McLendon-Chisholm. Our demands are clear:

  1. The immediate cessation of all communications from Inframark or the City suggesting they provide water services or have the authority to disconnect such services.
  2. The issuance of a retraction and a clear notice to those who received the misleading letters, clarifying the error and asserting that RCH exclusively provides water services.
  3. The refund or redirection to RCH of any payments collected by Inframark under the guise of "water accounts."

We are taking this issue very seriously and expect a resolution by March 27, 2024. Should there be no satisfactory response from Inframark and the City, we are prepared to take further actions, including reporting this conduct to the Public Utility Commission (PUC).
