Amicable Agreement with McLendon Chisholm Mayor Short + Updates

Dear RCH Members,

We have important updates to share regarding our community's water supply operations. These developments will benefit all RCH members within McLendon Chisholm borders and in the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ).

Termination of the Aqua Purchase Agreement (APA) and Transition to RCH Operations

We have formally announced the termination of the Aqua Purchase Agreement (APA). According to our operating agreement, we will now begin returning control of the water supply operations to RCH. This transition will be completed within the next 60 days.

Invoices
Unfortunately, Aqua has identified an error in their calculations on the last invoices you received, which resulted in amounts being off by a factor of 10. We are told that the revised invoices, along with a letter explaining this issue, are scheduled to be sent out this week. Your understanding during this process is greatly appreciated. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your revised invoices, please feel free to call Aqua directly at Tel. (254) 776-1999. They are ready and willing to assist with any inquiries.

Progress with North Texas Municipal Water District:

I am delighted to share that we have made significant strides in our planned connection with the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD). The take point and pump station designs for RCH have received approval from NTMWD engineers, and we have commenced the acquisition of necessary easements. These developments are vital steps toward ensuring a stable and secure water supply for our community.

Resolution Reached with Mayor Keith Short from McLendon Chisholm

We have come to a consensus with Mayor Keith Short from McLendon Chisholm. This marks a significant milestone in our efforts to promote unity and progress within our community. Mayor Short has committed to opposing any hostile actions aimed at McLendon Chisholm taking over RCH, aligning with our mutual goal of safeguarding the interests of all RCH members.

Under this agreement, RCH will undertake the following steps to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality water services:

Establishment of RCH as an Official Water Supply Corporation

We will formalize RCH as a legitimate water supply corporation, reiterating our dedication to providing dependable water services to our members.

Appointment of a New General Manager and Staff Recruitment

The board will hire a new general manager to oversee RCH operations and maintenance, including hiring necessary staff. We are confident that this process can be completed within the 60-day transition period following the termination of the APA.

We would like to sincerely thank Mayor Keith Short for his unwavering commitment to finding constructive solutions to our challenges and for his steadfast leadership throughout this process. His dedication to our shared goals has been pivotal in achieving this resolution.

Moving forward, we must set aside any disagreements and collaborate in the best interests of all RCH members. This agreement and the outlined actions will advance our mission of providing a water system we can grow for the future.

We will keep you updated as we progress through this transition, and we remain fully committed to providing you with top-notch service and support.

Thank you for your continued trust and support.

Sincerely,

David Naylor

Board President
