Construction Update: February 2026
February 12, 2026
Dear Members,
We’re moving into a busy month on the North Texas Take Point & Pump Station Project with multiple crews advancing concrete, tank, electrical, and pipeline work across the site.
Highlighted Milestone
We have approval and agreement to connect to the NTMWD supply line on February 18. NTMWD will shut down and dewater the line in our area; CLW will commence our tie-in with a 24-hour window to complete the connection, welds, valve placement, and required pipe. This is a major step toward bringing the new facilities online. Rest assured, this line test will not impact RCH’s water supply to our members.
Transmission Line
Crews are scheduled to finish out the 24-inch transmission line through February, aligned with the four-week look-ahead plan. Delivery of 42″ and 24″ butterfly valves with extended bonnets is also sequenced in this period to support downstream work.
Pump Station & Site Civil
At the pump station, teams are forming/reinforcing and pouring the slabs for the pump station, generator, and pressure tank, followed by slab-on-grade cure time, stripping forms, and setting precast manholes with continued drain-line installation.
Ground Storage Tank (3.0 MG)
The tank contractor is advancing superstructure tasks this month: assembling shoring, caulking/screwing joints, installing the FRP curb, completing shotcrete diaphragm work, and forming/reinforcing the roof. Site prep includes refurbishing the winding track and placing mud mats to support safe access.
Meter Vault & Electrical/Controls
For the meter vault, CMU masonry and shoring/forms for the concrete roof are underway. Electrical crews are installing the ductbank for disconnects, pouring concrete encasement, placing conduit in the slab-on-grade, and running interior conduit in the meter vault to support upcoming equipment installations.
Building & Structural Steel
The site’s steel building erection is scheduled throughout the month to enclose and protect interior mechanical and electrical work as it progresses.
Schedule & Coordination
Overall project milestones remain unchanged: Substantial Completion – May 5, 2026; Final Completion – June 2, 2026.
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we deliver this critical infrastructure. We’ll provide another update after the NTMWD tie-in and as each major milestone is achieved.
Kind regards,
Robin Mayall
