Construction Update – January 2026
January 12, 2026
Dear RCH Members,
We’re pleased to share this month’s progress on the North Texas Take Point & Pump Station Project. Field crews are advancing concrete, piping, and tank work while staging key activities for the next four weeks.
3.0 MG Ground Storage Tank (GST)
The tank slab-on-grade has been poured. Panel setting begins the week of January 12, supported by onsite scaffolding and a 300-ton crane, with panel “fly-in,” joint sealing, and diaphragm work sequenced through late January into early February.
Meter Vault
The vault deck has been poured, and backfilling is underway, with completion targeted for the end of this week. Construction of the main-floor masonry walls is scheduled to begin this month. The 42″ and 24″ butterfly valves are being fitted with bonnets for shipment this month; the 18″ butterfly valve with EMO is expected on-site in early January. C-200 yard piping was delivered on January 7, and the vault is tracking to be ready for tie-in by the first week of February.
Pump Station
Phase 4 of the pump-can encasement is complete, and Flow-Fill for Phase 4 will be placed this week. Crews are setting forms and rebar for the fifth (final) encasement phase, followed by the final Flow-Fill lift, stripping forms, and perimeter backfill. Layout for the generator pad and pressure tank is scheduled, along with installation of 6″ and 4″ drain lines and grade-beam excavation and tying.
Transmission Line
Installation of the 24″ transmission line continues throughout January per the four-week look-ahead. Over 2 miles of transmission line have been installed to date.
Electrical & Controls (Pump Station)
The installation of the below-grade conduit at the pump station is scheduled over multiple days to support upcoming equipment and slab activities.
Schedule & Coordination
Contract milestones remain unchanged: Substantial Completion on May 5, 2026, and Final Completion on June 2, 2026. We continue to hold our construction progress meetings to keep all teams aligned.
Thank you for your continued support as we bring this vital capacity online for the RCH community. We appreciate your trust and will keep you informed as each milestone is achieved.
Sincerely,
Robin Mayall
