RCH Take Point Construction Update - December 2025

Dear Members,

Since our last update in October, significant progress has been made on the water supply project. The civil package is now complete, and the team has demobilized. The Ground Storage Tank (GST) team has progressed from mobilization into foundation work, with the crucial first wall-panel pour scheduled for early next week. The meter vault has advanced from slab work to a completed wall pour, and dampproofing and backfill are set to begin next. Furthermore, the pump station has moved past the can slab phase; the cans are now set and encased, and suction header tie-ins are currently underway. Project milestone dates remain on track.

Ground Storage Tank (GST)

Progress on the 3.0 MG Ground Storage Tank is moving along rapidly. Flow fill for the casting beds was placed on December 2, and crews are currently forming the tank foundation. The first wall-panel pour, which will involve approximately 52 cubic yards of concrete, is scheduled for Monday, December 8.

Meter Vault

The wall pour for the meter vault is complete, and the deck hatches are now on site. Weather permitting, dampproofing is slated for this week, to be followed immediately by backfill. Key equipment is arriving: a flow conditioner is here, and the 42-inch and 24-inch butterfly valves are currently being fitted with bonnets for shipment later this month. The 18-inch butterfly valve with its electric motor operator is expected to arrive late in December or early January.

Pump Station

The pump cans are set, locked at the base, and the first encasement and flow-fill lift are complete. Crews have begun the installation of the suction header, with two pumps already tied in to the system. Phase 2 encasement is scheduled for Wednesday, December 3.

Looking Ahead

To ensure all contractors remain aligned and maintain schedule momentum, we will continue holding monthly progress meetings on the first Tuesday of each month. Substantial completion remains targeted for May 5, 2026, and final completion for June 2, 2026.
