RCH Take Point Construction Update – September 2025
September 10, 2025
Dear RCH Members,
Here’s the latest on the North Texas Take Point & Pump Station Project following our September 2 construction progress meeting. We continue to advance key work fronts while aligning long-lead materials to keep the overall schedule on track.
Civil / Site Work
- Roadway is complete; pond backfill and tank excavation are finished. Crews are now staging the under-tank piping, winding track, and crane pad.
3.0-MG Ground Storage Tank (GST)
- All tank revisions have been reviewed and approved; rebar is cleared and approved.
- Mobilization and the start of tank construction are set for later this month (late September 2025).
Meter Vault
- CLW, the awarded contractor, will mobilize on site and begin construction on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
Pump Station
- Excavation has begun; the can slab pour is scheduled for September 23. Pump cans are en route to the coating facility, with a third-party inspection agency engaged. PIKE has set the temporary pole-mounted transformer. The bore under the road to reach the RCH Take Point property is complete. The construction water meter tap on the Poetry Water service line was completed on September 7, 2025 , and the account is active for immediate use during construction.
Transmission Line (North Texas Take Point to RCH System)
- We are awaiting delivery of the 20-inch butterfly valves, expected within the next 7 days. Upon receipt, complete construction of the transmission line will commence. (note: this hardware is the last gating item to launch continuous installation along the alignment.)
Schedule & Coordination
- Project substantial and final completion remain targeted for May 5, 2026, and June 2, 2026, respectively.
- Our progress meetings occur on the first Tuesday of each month to maintain coordination and accountability across all contractors.
Fixed-Base Mobile Application System
Final delivery of the repeater antennas is pending. Once received, the team will complete installation and commissioning activities.
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we deliver this vital regional infrastructure. We appreciate your trust in RCH and will keep you updated as each milestone is met.
Sincerely,
Robin Mayall
