Construction Update – August 2025

Dear RCH Members,

Last week, we held our NT Take Point coordination meeting with Felix Construction and Velvin & Weeks, and we are formalizing a monthly cadence going forward. With all bids now awarded and in place, we will begin inviting every project contractor into these meetings to hear the status directly from each team.

On-site, core civil activities continue to move ahead. Over the past month, the entrance road subgrade was completed, reinforced concrete pipe was installed, Phase 1 of the tank excavation was completed, and both the meter vault and pump station sites were cleared and grubbed. Power coordination is also progressing: poles are set and wire has been strung, and Felix is coordinating with Oncor to bring temporary power online.

A major focus for August is the Transmission Line linking the North Texas Take Point to the broader RCH system. Pipe deliveries to the Take Point site will begin within the next 10 days, and construction of the line is planned to start this month. This segment is the critical connection that will allow the new facilities to move water efficiently into our existing infrastructure.

The pumps are expected to be ready ahead of when they’re needed. The manufacturer (Simflo) will store them at their facility, with payment for stored materials once they’re ready to ship. Permitting remains on track: the 6″ boring permit, for temporary water during cponstreuction , is in the approval process. The pump station permit (submitted June 4) is moving forward with additional information provided as requested. Felix is also preparing the GMP amendment for the pump station.

Our next project progress meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 2, 2025, and we will continue to update you as key milestones are achieved.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Robin Mayall
