No Sprinkler Use After Midnight

Dear RCH Members,

Effective immediately, please refrain from any sprinkler use after midnight (12:00 AM). We’re experiencing a dramatic increase in overnight irrigation that is depleting our storage reserves.

  • Allowed Sprinkler Window: Sprinkler systems (inground or portable) — including all pop-up heads in grass and lawn irrigation zones — may only run between 8:00 PM and 12:00 AM.

  • No Sprinkler Use After Midnight: All automatic timers, smart controllers, and manual sprinklers must be turned off by 12:00 AM.

  • Includes Grass/Lawn Zones: Any grass or lawn irrigation areas set to run outside the 8:00 PM–12:00 AM window must be disabled; pop-up heads are only permitted during that timeframe.

  • Permitted at Any Time: Low-pressure drip irrigation systems may be used anytime.

If we cannot curb this demand, we may need to move to Stage 2 or even Stage 3 Water Use Restrictions, which include:

  1. No sprinkler irrigation of all lawns and landscapes at any time.

  2. Hand-held watering only for vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and newly planted areas—on designated days and times.

  3. No washing of vehicles at home (commercial car washes with recirculating systems only).

  4. No filling or topping off of pools, spas, fountains, or ponds.

Your cooperation in this conservation effort is greatly appreciated, and with your continued support, we look forward to making these restrictions a thing of the past next year.

Thank you for your partnership in responsible water stewardship.

Sincerely,

Robin Mayall
