STAGE 2 WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES

Effective 7/31/26

Dear RCH Members,

RCH Water Supply Corporation is implementing Stage 2 water conservation measures, effective immediately 7/31/26, due to increased water demand past the 90% reserve for 3 consecutive days and the need to protect our currently available water supply and maintain adequate reserves as required for public health and fire protection.

Under Stage 2, our goal is to reduce overall water demand through responsible water use and a coordinated, zone-based lawn-watering schedule.

Designated Watering Zones

Lawn irrigation will be scheduled according to the following geographic zones

Link : Zone Map

Zones 1 & 2 – High Point Ranch, Highpoint Lake Estates, Bluebonnet Estates, Lariat Estates
Designated watering days: Tuesday & Friday

Zone 3 – Sonoma Verde
Designated watering days: Monday & Thursday

Zone 4 – Chisholm Crossing, Heritage, Kensington Park, Windsor Place, Austin Corners, Brushy Creek, Miravista, Pheasant Hill
Designated watering days: Wednesday & Sunday

Stage 2 Requirements

Lawn Irrigation

Lawn irrigation is permitted only on the designated watering days assigned to your zone.

Automatic sprinkler systems and other high-volume lawn-irrigation systems may operate only between 8:00 p.m. and midnight on designated watering days.

Lawn watering is limited to two days per week. 8pm-12am only

Hand Watering, Drip Systems and Soaker Hoses

Drip-irrigation systems and soaker hoses used for landscape beds or foundations may be used on any day and at any time.

Hand-held hoses, manual sprinklers and trigger-type watering devices may also be used on any day and at any time. Members are asked to prevent runoff and use only the amount of water necessary.

Swimming Pools

Filling, refilling or adding water to swimming pools is permitted. Members planning to fill a new pool should notify the RCH office in advance so system demand can be monitored.

Vehicle Washing

Vehicle washing is permitted, but members are asked to use water responsibly and avoid unnecessary runoff.

Construction and Hydrant Meters

Water use through authorized hydrant meters may continue for permitted construction purposes.

Additional Conservation Measures

All members are asked to:

  • Repair controllable water leaks promptly.
  • Avoid allowing irrigation water to run into streets, gutters or neighboring properties.
  • Avoid washing sidewalks, driveways and other hard surfaces.
  • Reduce unnecessary indoor and outdoor water use.
  • Confirm that irrigation controllers are programmed for the correct zone, days and permitted hours.

Compliance with these measures is essential to maintaining reliable water service and preserving the reserves needed for fire protection and other emergencies. Water usage and system conditions will be monitored closely, and additional restrictions may become necessary if demand does not decrease

Thank you for your immediate cooperation and for helping protect our community’s water supply.

Sincerely,

Robin Mayall
